Guitar Restringing Class
Our first ever shop classes are being help on April 5 and April 19.
$5 Deposit and $25 day of class.
Ever broken a string and just aren’t sure if you’re putting a new one on correctly? Want to learn some basic maintenance of your guitar or bass? Want validation from a luthier that you’re doing it right?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, sign up for this class being held on Saturday, April 5, from 9:30 - 11 AM.
Limited spots are available due to space in our workshop.
What will you get out of this class?
You will receive a wealth of knowledge from John Svatos, graduate of Atlanta Guitar Works, on how to properly clean your guitar, the different types of tuning machines and how they work, you’ll tighten all the bells and whistles with the correct tools, and practice restringing a guitar before properly restringing your instrument for maximum playability.
What you need to bring:
Your guitar, acoustic guitar, or bass guitar.
Strings if you have a preferred set. If not, you may purchase a new set of strings at our shop.
Any preferred tools that you have.
A positive, supportive attitude, and a willingness to learn and help others.
What will we provide:
A workbench with the tools you’ll need to work.
A microfiber cloth you’re welcome to take home.
Ernie Ball guitar wipes to leave a beautiful shine.
Steel wool and fretboard oil should you need it.
String winders you’re welcome to take with you for your next restring.
Coffee from Amateur Coffee.
*Standard guitar tuners only. If enough Floyd Rose systems are interested, a class will be held in the future.
